What follows is the definition for the term Conveyancing Fee as it relates to mortgages in the UK.

Conveyancing Fee

A Conveyancing Fee is a fee charged by your solicitor or license conveyor for handling the various paperwork required for a house purchase. They will conduct searches, handle registration of the purchase, and ensure stampy duty is paid on your purchase.

Rates for conveyancing can vary quite considerably, and it is worth shopping around for a good rate. A lot of conveyancing can be done remotely, so it's worth checking out the internet for good rates
